Day 30: a picture of yourself this day and 5 good things that happened since you started the challenge

1. I now have a mentor and she is so awesome!! We meet weekly and I have learned so much already.... I really enjoy our time!
2. I successfully asked for a few days off from work over spring break.... so I am looking forward to going on a much needed vacation next week!
3. My question of where am I going to go to school has finally been answered. After many applications, work, interviews and stress... I am going to go to Midwestern University in Glendale Arizona... I leave towards the end of May!
4. My adorable nephew, Noah, started smiling! When he smiles at me it melts my heart... it's the best thing ever!
5. I got to talk to my grandma (we all call her Gomie) on the phone. She calls about once a week but I'm never around when she calls... but this time I was! It was awesome I haven't talked to her for months!

caption: Zachary you lose..... I finished first hahahahahaha.. didn't you start like half a month before me? I believe you owe me a day of doing whatever I want!!!!!!

Day 29: 3 Wishes

1. That God would have complete control of my life.... that I would know and follow the plan he has for me and live it to it's fullest
2. That Zach would move with me to AZ... that we would get married and live happily ever after..... is that too honest and awkward to put on here..... oh well
3. To be able to travel around the world and help people in many different locations

Day 28: Something That Stresses You Out

Many things stress me out, but nothing like school and exams! I have a tendency to push myself really hard in school. I have always done really well, but I have always had to work really hard to achieve my grades. My freshman, sophomore and junior years at the UM I basically lived in the library. It seemed I usually had an exam in something every week.... it was terrible.... and of course I HAD to do awesome in every class, on every test, every project.... everything! I would stress myself out all the time..... major burn out! Presentations were the worst! And it seemed like every class had a big final presentation..... public speaking makes me want to puke.. let's just put it that way! I get shaky, my voice starts to stutter, I forget everything I was going to say.... it's basically the worst thing... and I would stress out over the presentations from day 1 of the class... that's right syllabus day I would look through the plans and... yep there's a presentation great....... hate this class!

I'm kind of a perfectionist.. this combined with my determination and dedication would seem like good things when it comes to school... and it is... except it dooms me to stressing out. But it's just because I care and think good grades are important. But like most things its about finding a balance.... that I have yet to find!

Day 26: Your Dream Wedding

I love weddings... and as every girl does I have often thought of what I want my wedding to be like... beautiful, everyone I know attending, perfect weather, flowers everywhere, the perfect day! Some people like to have their weddings in some far off amazing place like Belize, Hawaii, the Bahamas. The only problem with that is.. I actually want people to be able to come.....
So my dream wedding..... I guess I don't really have it all planned out and that's probably a good thing, but I do know of some qualities that I do dream of it having.
~ A groom
~ A normal ceremony containing a pastor and a church.... actually it doesn't have to be a church I don't guess and I don't know if I want it to be inside or outside
~ Lots of flowers
~ I want it to be a lot of fun for everyone involved and everyone that comes... one of my friends got married recently and she did a great job of this! Weddings can tend to be dry and boring sometimes... not mine!
~ Like 3 or 4 or 5 bridesmaids
~ A beautiful wedding dress!
~ I don't usually like to be the center of attention, but in this case I want everyone to be there!
~ Cake.. I often think about making my own wedding cake.... but that would probably turn into a disaster

I want my wedding to be      Beautiful  .  Elegant  .  Intimate  .  Fun

Day 21: Favorite Picture of Yourself ALL TIME Why?

I chose this picture because I feel like it captures so many aspects of me...... I'm really outgoing and crazy in my own mind.... but really I'm only touching the tip of it's tail.. and it's super fat and can't really move I don't think I'm in too much danger. BUT look how happy it made me! It's the small things in life!

I just love this face.... that's all I really have to say about this one... it's so great I had to put it up too!

Awwwww little buffalo!

I chose this one because I love my hair and my shoes... and it's graduation day!

P.S. These are my ALL TIME favorites of the last two years anyway... those are the only ones I have on my computer!

Day 20: Nicknames

So most people know my nickname..... it's Buzzy.... The story behind it you ask? Well for the longest time I didn't even know.... and that's what I told people... well apparently my dad and brother gave it to me when I was young and it's stuck ever since... I told that one for years, What a let down to such a widely known nickname I know! But apparently my dad remembered some were along the way and I guess when I was a baby apparently I made a buzzing noise when I slept and so my dad and big brother started calling me that... awwww cute right, yeah back then! The problem is that is has stuck til this day. Many people call me that instead of my name... which when I was younger was actually the norm. I was not Alicia I was Buzzy. It sounded weird when people called me Alicia, that's how much it stuck... I would even introduce myself as Buzzy... believe me I got a lot of weird looks from unsuspecting people... they would say, "what, Buzzy... for real what's wrong with your parents." Yeah it was awesome. In college I pretty much got rid of it, but there are still a select few who still call me Buzzy and I don't mind when it's only a few people. Sure I've had a few other nicknames.. Turkey Turd, Turd Bird, Bass Chick, A Funk, B Dizzle, Bubbles, Basketball All Star Super Slam In Your Face Lightning Bolt Champion.... but none of them stuck like Buzzy.

Day 19: Something You Miss

I miss being a kid and not having to worry about life. I miss the days of Barney and Barbies... I'll admit it, I loved both! The days when your biggest dilemma was deciding what you wanted to wear and how to wear it all at once. Being a kid was great.. riding bikes, worm hunting, playing with plastic, playing in the dirt, pretending to be a princess.... weren't those great days?!?!?!?!?! Now life is a little more complicated, a little more bitter and a lot harder! I definitely miss life as a kid.

Day 18: Favorite Place to Eat

My favorite place to eat is at home, or where ever I am that I can cook my own food. I like being able to make exactly what I want! You just can't beat home cookin! BUT if I was to choose a favorite restaurant it would probably be a tie between Romeo's and Cracker Barrel.

You can't beat Romeo's unlimited soup, salad and bread sticks... it's cheap and it's delicious! Cracker barrel has just about everything you ever wanted. Plus the warm environment, table games, and sweet tea make a tough place to beat.

Day 17: Something You're Looking Forward To

Right now I am looking forward to nice weather... it's been a long long winter here in Montana... and I am so sick of it. Many people say oh this is Montana stop complaining about the weather... But I'm from here most people aren't so to all of you who have told me things like that... you can shut it... you probably aren't even a true Montanan! I hate winter and snow gets old real fast... I guess that's what happens when you grow up with long winters all your life, you begin to hate them. They lose their beauty and luster... soon after Christmas. March is the worst... it's always a mix of snow, rain and sun all combining to make everything slushy, muddy, wet and gross everywhere you go.... and do I even need to mention all the potholes?!?!?!?! They were so bad this year my car about disappeared in them a couple times....

They are basically going to have to rebuild the entire road system of Missoula. BUT March is now coming to a close and the days have slowly started to get warmer... I've even been privileged to see the sun on a couple of occasions. So things are starting to look up, but I'm really looking forward to those nice warm days when I can wear flip flops and not have to worry about walking in snow or mud or a combination of both.

Day 16: Dream House!

I love Victorian style houses and southern colonial style houses.... so obviously my dream house would be a combination of both! I love turrets and the elegance of a Victorian styled home... and I love the shutters and pillars of a southern colonial style home.... so without further adieu here are some picture of houses that contain the qualities found in my dream house....

Day 15: Bible Verse

The king is enthralled by your beauty; honor him, for he is your lord.
Psalm 45:11

There are many great verses in the Bible, but I stumbled over this one yesterday. The King is enthralled by your beauty..... WHAT for real?!?!?! My beauty...... the Lord the King of heaven and earth is enthralled by my beauty.... Wow... why? It's kind of hard to believe and grasp what that really means.... but I love it! Yeah think about that one! If only everyone could know and believe that in the depths of their hearts and live as though it's true.....

Day 14: A Picture of You Last Year - How Have You Changed?

This picture was taken during spring break last year... so basically one year ago exactly. I don't think I've changed much, especially not in appearance. My hair is a little different I don't have as many awesome layers anymore... and I've lost 10lbs but those are the only things that are different in appearance... BUT where I am in life is quite different. I graduated from college and am about to move to Arizona to start Physical Therapy school. With that I am becoming more responsible for myself and my decisions. This life change is also causing a lot of stress, but gold is refined in the fire. ALSO, I am an aunt now. My adorable nephew Noah Barrett Wheatley was born in December and gets cutter everyday! So, all in all this year I've gone through some growing up and gaining of new titles and am about to embark on the biggest life change ever to hit this small town girl....

1. make it through the next two months without totally falling apart.... this one may be the hardest one that will be on this list...
2. Enjoy Physical Therapy school.... I say enjoy because I know I am going... and I know I will make it through.. but the choice to enjoy something that is unimaginably hard at this moment is a very good goal..
3. Get married
4. Missions!!!! I want to go on many trips to different places in the world and give them what I've learned... God and physical therapy
5. I want to be a mom some day....
6. Go to Africa
7. Sponsor a child from somewhere.... and then go visit!

Day 12: Something You Don't Leave The House Without

I do NOT leave the house without my cell phone! It's my connection with the world..... my way out during isolation.... my escape plan during awkward moments... my rescue in time of need.... it's a pretty big deal to me.... and I feel naked without it!

Day 11: Favorite Tv Shows

Are you ready for the TOP TEN SEVEN COUNTDOWN?!?!?!?!?!?!
1. American Idol... all time fav!
2. What Not to Wear.... love love love this one too

4. Pawn Stars
5. American Pickers
6. The Office
7. Most anything on HG tv...... yes it's true
8. ....... those are really the only tv shows I watch.. so I guess it's just the top 7!

Day 10: Something You're Afraid Of

One of my biggest fears has to do with driving.... mostly driving on the highway and in places I'm not familiar with... which is everywhere besides Missoula and Clinton. I know of multiple reasons that caused this fear. I remember that all throughout my childhood I hated semi trucks and still do. I would have dreams night after night about the trailer of a semi falling over on the car I was riding in. Weird I know. Also, my dad is a big fan of the outdoors and we drove up in the mountains a lot and I remember pretending to be asleep on these drives so I didn't have to look out the window which only unveiled the cliff off that side of the road. I also experienced many other things... hydroplaning, hitting a deer and many slips and slides in the snow and ice... My fear of driving only continued as I got my drivers license and totaled my first car in a freak accident coming home from work late one night on the highway. I was on my way home when I noticed a car off to the right of the road with it's four way flashers on and so I way going to get over into the passing lane.... looked over my shoulder to make sure no one was there and hit a car that was conveniently parked in the passing lane on the highway....I was going 65... I didn't get injured which was amazing. Then my next car I also totaled when I lost control going over an icy bridge on the highway causing me to slam into a guard rail which spun me across the road into the median which I then turned and went back out of the median and across the road... finally stopping.. or so I thought until my car started going over the hill... at that point I jumped out and the car ran into a fence at the bottom of the hill. So there you have it.. probably my biggest fear... I basically drive like a grandma now..... my average speed for the highway in the winter is 45... not even joking!

Day 9: A Favorite Picture of Your Best Friend

Once again I have a case of indecisiveness..... how can I pick a favorite picture of my best friend.... so here's a few!!!!!!!!!
Awwwww my BF Zach and I
This made my favorite list for so many reasons.... I just love how Jess's hair is attacking her face... and we all just look awesome!!!!! This was such a fun trip to CA!
Zach being a rockstar.... like usual
Pretty sure this was Zach pretending to be a deer..... I love it!
Jess' wedding!
One of our many wonderful times at the man cave!
We are pretty hardcore if you couldn't tell.... why do I have a knife at Jordan's neck you ask..... well stop asking stupid questions.......
Ummmm basically the cutest little guy ever! This is Zach when he was little..... awwwwwww

Day 8: A Place You've Traveled To

Well I have done some traveling in my day! But there has been no trip like my trip to Bangkok, Thailand with my church during the summer of 06!!!! It was amazing there we were placed in the midst of a country we didn't know surrounded by people who all looked alike speaking a language that sounded like rap music.... We did a lot of outreach and even got to do the tourist thing. Some of my personal highlights were eating chicken butt and giant grasshoppers, praying over sick babies in a tree house/church in the middle of the jungle by candle light, singing worship in Thai... or trying to at least, helping out with an English camp where the schedule they gave us was written in Thai=constant confusion, going to breakfast at our hotel and getting the western breakfast that contained heart shaped hotdog pieces, our group always being too heavy for the elevator to work, singing Making Melodies in My Heart with my roommate Jess Chai while looking out over the Bangkok lights and teaching high five and pound... and Jesus to a bunch of beautiful Thai orphans..... and doing our puppet show for them.... and..... well there were so many amazing moments on that ten day trip that I had to go back the following summer for the whole summer... so there's no way to list them all here! But that's my story about Bangkok..... one of the best places in the world!!!!

Day 6: A Picture of Something That Makes You Happy

This picture always makes me smile! There's a whole website of these pictures with captions.... I don't remember what it is though. But they just fit my humor so wonderfully! I will share more of the ones I have saved with you......

I think I enjoy them so much because they are so random and resemble the way I draw..... stick figures! Oh goodness! I hope you enjoyed them as much as I do! hahahahaha
